New addition aims to make a positive impact with employees and customers while helping grow the company’s sales team and market share
HOUSTON — September 7, 2022 — McCoy Rockford is pleased to announce the recent addition of Becca Hand as Vice President of Sales.
A longtime professional in the contract furniture industry, Hand joined McCoy Rockford in July. In her new role, she will lead the sales team and continue to create an environment that attracts and retains great talent, in addition to overseeing the company’s sales strategy and ensuring customer satisfaction. She’s also tasked with growing McCoy Rockford’s reach to vertical markets and ensuring consistent messaging and customer experience.
“My mission is to make a positive impact,” said Hand. “The goal is twofold. It’s essential to have a well-trained sales team made up of problem solvers so we can provide great customer service, but it’s equally important to be a good listener to our customers to garner a deep understanding their unique business drivers to create an inspiring space that is uniquely equipped to fulfill their goals.”
Her past work includes various leadership positions, most recently President of a North Carolina-based dealer. Hand started her 15+ year career in sales, and quickly transitioned to lead that team. She was later approached to oversee fulfillment for a Steelcase dealer, and from there has also led various departments including project management and design.
Hand has always worked for Steelcase Premier Partner dealers — McCoy Rockford being no exception. The high performing dealer was just named a 2021 Premier Partner for meeting high-quality and performance standards. She explained, “I feel like I’ve grown up in the ‘Steelcase family’. It’s important to be associated with an organization that I can have confidence will deliver. The power and longevity of Steelcase brand and the McCoy Rockford Premier Dealer status is a signal to me that I am working for an organization that dedicated to do what is right for our customers and team members.”
As well as an Authorized Steelcase dealer, McCoy Rockford represents hundreds of other manufacturers to help customers outfit their space with the right products, Executive Vice President Chris Erdeljac said.
“We’re proud of our Premier Partner designation and to be able to offer customers access to unique, cutting-edge products from Steelcase and other great manufacturers to make offices, schools, healthcare spaces — you name it ¬— come to life,” Erdeljac explained. “Becca will do a great job leading the sales team to do just that.”
Her innate desire to positively transform environments so they ultimately perform better for those working within their walls will inspire the McCoy Rockford team to continue providing the best service for customers, Erdeljac added.
The timing of this new role couldn’t have been better. She may not be a Texas native, but as a Baylor University graduate, Hand has called the state her home of 20 of the last 23 years. If she was going to return, she wanted it to be because of a new role at a dealership with a strong reputation in the industry, like McCoy Rockford.
Her husband and two daughters made the move back to Texas with her. When she’s not helping McCoy Rockford customers or sales team, Hand will be spending time with her family or supporting her girls who are active in Children’s Theatre.
