Although he’s been in the industry for nearly thirty years, Chris has a diverse background that extends far beyond furniture. He gained invaluable experience when transporting goods to and from Europe via container ships and competing in offshore sailboat races in the Atlantic while training to become an officer on merchant ships. Additionally, he managed a local McDonald’s, where he was selected to be in a series of national commercials showcasing real restaurant employees as part of a McDonald’s promotional campaign.
While Chris insists that helping individuals create inspiring and functional spaces is just as exciting, we suspect his previous adventures may hold a special place in his heart. What we do know is that his extensive travels and the opportunity to work with diverse teams have honed his creative thinking, multitasking abilities, and exceptional communication skills — qualities that enable him to effectively lead the leaders at McCoy Rockford.
Chris has channeled the same energy and passion from his early career into developing talent and refining processes. His focus now is on driving the continued success of McCoy Rockford by ensuring the customer experience is unmatched, while also creating an environment where employees feel valued, empowered and appreciated.
When not in the office, Chris can be found near the water. Having explored various coastlines across North and South America, Hawaii, the Cayman Islands, and beyond, he has yet to find a beach he doesn’t like. He and his wife, Erin, spend most weekends on the small island of Galveston, where Chris enjoys paddleboarding or boating to unwind.
As he likes to say, “The beach is the only place where salt lowers your blood pressure.”
